Message of Executive Director

Chowdhury Munir Hossain

Executive Director

SANGRAM has been running with its expediting working interventions to achieve the 17 desires of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). The organization’s primary consciousness in microfinance is affiliated with the agriculture value chain, lives and livelihood, water supply and sanitation, catastrophe management, climate change and adaptation, disability, geriatric health promotion, and hospital facilities. The primary precept of decreasing the vulnerability of climate change and catastrophe-affected human beings is “decreasing vulnerability relies upon the human being’s capacity.” No place is immune to natural calamities. We have ensured a few defensive initiatives across the country to save the lives and livelihoods of disaster-affected communities.

As the pandemic CORONA Virus is still now going around the world, Bangladesh has not yet been able to escape from its dreadful mishaps. Thousands of human beings died in the pandemic, and thousands of human beings succumbed to the bout; neither any country nor any group can identify the quiet date of this pandemic. No people had been counted whose employment has been stricken by the outbreak. The catastrophe of Corona Virus still remains in the country.

We are overjoyed to recognize the imaginative and perceptive of Chowdhury Muhammad Masum for his brilliant attempt to set up the organization. I desire each achievement in pursuing and attaining SANGRAM’s purpose to contribute to worldwide peace through improving people and substantially improving socio-economically deprived human beings in all districts of the Barisal division. Indeed, SANGRAM won this peak most effectively because of the willpower of its personnel member for humanitarian purposes, even in hard times. I honor to congratulate all my colleagues operating with SANGRAM with the best civility and determination closer to the lasting goodwill of the organization.

My cordial thanks to the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) for technical, financial, and institutional assistance to SANGRAM from its early stage. The organization owes to donors and development partners like CDD, Oxfam BD, IFAD, and WB for their immense contribution to Climate Change and Adaptation, Disaster Management, and Value Chain Promotion.

We welcome your ideas and suggestions for our destined development. I look ahead to more partnerships in the future years to come.
